A true dive into the local traditions, this circuit offers a discovery of the Sakalava villages, an encounter with the lemurs and visits to islands of breathtaking beauty.

    Day 1: Departure from Crater Port, we arrive at Nosy Mamoko after about 4 hours. The lush forest of this island is home to giant turtoises and many lemurs. You will meet nomadic fishermen in their interesting village on a sacred site.

    Day 2: We follow the coast down south for 20 miles to the historic site of the Russian Bay. This ancient sailor’s refuge is famous for its peacefulness and many isolated beaches, dotted with huts of nomadic fishermen.

    Day 3: After 25 miles of coastal sailing, passing many islands and impressive white sand beaches, we will reach Baramamahay, an important estuary with impressive mangrove vegetation. You will visit a traditional Sakalava village, meet school children and then navigate up the river right to the middle of the mangrove swamps with their impressive wildlife.

    Day 4: Our next stop after an hour of sailing is Nosy Iranja, two beautiful islands connected by a narrow dazzling white sand bank. We anchor in front of this beauty-place, take a walk on the island and visit the lighthouse with its superb panoramic view. The Talio (a strong-wind West) takes us back to Nosy Be, where we arrive at about 5 pm.

    The circuit can be modified according to the weather conditions or by the decision of the clients in agreement with the captain.
